The GS Group comprises Operating Associations/Businesses in Agro based sector relating to Cotton, Edible Oils, Dalls & Pulses, Financial Services and Housing Projects. The Group was founded by Sri Gajadharji Makharia in 1962. Consequentially, the members of Makharia family followed Sri Gajadharji Makharia with high attitude of commitment and industry with the objective of building a socio-economic culture and this approach remains enshrined in the Group's ethos to this day.

The GS Group is located at Adilabad of Andhra Pradesh, India and is the largest and most respected Industry. The activities of the Group are presently scatted to different segments from Industrial products to Customer oriented and exports also, with Gross revenues in 2004-05 of 540 Crores (approx).

The GS Group employs nearly 540 Qualified/Semi-qualified people and endeavour to the building of personal wealth also apart from contribution to National Wealth.

Management/Directors

Established in the 1962 GS Group is headed by Makharia’s family. Makharias are a well established business family in Adilabad and has been in the business field for the last 4(four) decades. Sri Gajadharji Makharia is the fore Father/Founder of GS Group of Companies. Sri Govinji Agarwal and Gourishankerji Makharia Shamsunderji Makharia are considered to be the main functionality behind the development of Group and are well renowned person with commitment and object oriented. From the normal business of Dealers/ Distribution network, they developed the empire of GS with diversified activities and a vision of Thinking.

Sri Kanhaiayalal Makharia, Chairman Naryanlal Makharia, Director

Brothers of Late Sri Gouree Shankerji, Shyamsunderji & Srigovindji Makharia and a persons of rich knowledge with high acumen. They are the founders promoters of GS Oils Limited and main stream in the development of the Company. He is the Policy maker for GS Group, and engaged in various social development activities. Kanhiyalal is the founder president of Chamber of Federation of Commerce, Adilabad. Naryanlal is the President of Oil Millers Association.

Manoj Kumar Makharia, Managing Director

Founder promoter of G.S. Oils Limited. He is the son of Srigovindji Agarwal. Very much object oriented, with high ability of Industrial nature. Manoj’s extraordinary entrepreneurial acumen has helped build this multi-faceted conglomerate into a global presence. His leadership has enabled the Group to foray into diversified activities from the traditional Oil and Agro based sector to the Financial Services and Projects. Presently, he will be responsible for overall Groups activities, planning and Financial functions.

Sanjay Kumar Makharia, Director

A Graduate in Commerce and expertise of Cotton related activities. Following the Brother’s foot Steps, looking after the entire production and Marketing of Cotton Division. He has began his career in 1988 and has grown with the Company to garner a solid experience in the Cotton Ginning and Pressing activities. With his conscious efforts, the turnover of Cotton Division increased in geometric ratio and considered to be the Back bone for the Company.

Ajay Kumar Makharia, Director Umesh Kumar Makharia

Younger Brother of Manoj Kumar Makharia. Ajay Kumar is a Graduate in Business Management and with rich back ground in Solvent Extraction Division. Apart from Managerial capabilities, Mr Ajay engineered in Solvent Extraction Process by his experience. Ajay & Umesh Considered responsible for Solvent Extraction Technology resources. Involved in Production, and Marketing and procurement of raw material of the Group’s major Industrial Division of Solvent Extraction Plant.

Anup Kumar Makharia, Director

A Young Director and looking after the Refinery Division of the Company. Mr Anup infuses enthusiasm into the Group with his new-age business tactics. He is currently involved in the Administration of Oil Refinery activities. Responsible for Development of Refinery Division.

Nitesh Kumar Makharia

A Young Director involved in marketing division of pulses and grains. Responsible for development of Dall Mill division.
